In 2002, the Nelson Law Office, Now NLO Nelson Law Office was founded primarily to represent first time homebuyers at closings.  As the years have passed our firm has become very family with the specialized services and grants available to first time homebuyers through Fannie May, Freddie Mac, Illinois Home Development Authority and the City of Chicago.  Attorney Nelson is a frequent guest speak at first time home buyer seminars at Latin United Community Housing.  We are also actively involved with Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Spanish Coalition, ACORN Housing, Rogers Park Community Housing and others.  We are also an active participant in the Chicago Community Land Trust Organization, CHAC programs and NSP programs now used to stabilize neighborhoods.  Our office frequently is involved in representing sellers, short sellers, condominium associations and their members and occasionally zoning issues.  As a shareholder in Attorney’s Title Guaranty I am a part of a State Bar Approved Title Company and as an active participant in the Illinois Real Estate Lawyer’s Association, I am involved with other attorneys who are helping to improve the practice of real estate law.
